Boustead Plantations Berhad’s Risk Committee members and management today held a visit to Pusat Pengumpulan Hasil Ladang (PPHL) Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan (PPK) Kuala Langat in exploring the potential of commercial crops in agriculture business.
The Risk Committee members – Maj. Gen. Dato’ Seri Khairuddin Abu Bakar (R) J.P., Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Aziah Ali and Datuk Shah Headan Ayoob Hussain Shah – were briefed by PPK Kuala Langat Chairman Ab. Razak Kasbollah on the upstream and downstream operations of the production of commercial crops in the area.
Accompanying the committee members were BPB CEO Zainal Abidin Shariff and Head of Strategy and Corporate Development Khairuddin Ibrahim.
The visit allowed for the exchange of ideas and expertise between both parties, as well as provided better insights for BPB’s delegation on the wide possibilities offered in the cultivation of commercial crops.
During the visit, the delegation was also brought to one of PPK Kuala Langat’s Smart Farm – a modern agriculture site which capitalised on Internet of Things and automation to produce crops of high quality and quantity.
