Held an amazing and eye-opening session with guest speaker Al Rumie, who shared his transitional journey from being a sedentary, morbidly obese person to an avid runner and health advocate today.
In a webinar joined by more than 100 BPB employees today, Al Rumie spoke on the importance of work-life balance, stress management and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
With heart-related disease continue to be the leading cause of death in Malaysia, Al Rumie stressed the importance to exercise moderately and not exerting too much pressure on our body.
BPB CEO Zainal Abidin Shariff in his opening remarks said health-related webinars and engagements would continue to be organised in the future as a way to promote and inculcate healthy lifestyle among employees. These are part of BPB’s commitment towards Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.
Zainal Abidin summed up his points by reciting a pantun:

𝘋𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘶 𝘪𝘬𝘩𝘭𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘪 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘪,
