Being a socially-responsible plantation company, we regularly extend our assistance to support empowerment of local community living in the vicinity of our operations.
In another series of our Corporate Social Responsibility event, a team from our Loagan Bunut Estate in Sarawak brought joy to the Muslim community in Long Lama by conducting a ‘gotong-royong’ programme at a local mosque there.
The team together with members of the mosque committee and local community joined hands in refurbishing Masjid Long Lama, with activities as repainting of the mosque exterior, landscape beautification and cleaning up of ablution and prayer areas.
With Ramadan just around the corner, the ‘gotong-royong’ programme ensured that the Muslim community in the area are provided a clean and comfortable place for them to conduct their religious activities throughout the holy month.
A small gesture goes a long way. Guided by the principles of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), we are committed to give a lasting impact to communities that we cross path with, whether directly or indirectly.
